## What is Asset Management in S4/HANA (SAP PM on S4/HANA)?

SAP S/4HANA Asset Management formerly known as **SAP Plant Maintenance** refers to the suite of functionalities within the SAP S/4HANA system that enables organizations to efficiently manage their assets throughout the entire lifecycle. This includes acquisition, depreciation, maintenance, and disposal of assets.  
 The solutions offer intelligent analysis, simplify the user experience, and centralize data so that businesses can use entire machine fleets more profitably, reduce downtime, lower service and maintenance costs, and work more efficiently with business partners.
